The Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education, Bhopal, has clarified that two board exams will be held annually for students in grades 10 and 12. This decision has been taken for the benefit of students and to comply with the new National Education Policy. This new scheme will be implemented in July 2025, and the state government has issued a notification in the state gazette. The MP Board has made a major change to its examination system. Previously, board exams were held once a year, but now two board exams will be held each year. The first exam will be held in February-March, while the second exam will be held in July-August. This will allow students who fail the first board exam to appear for the second.
Main Rules for Two Board Exams by the Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education
If students are absent or fail in any subject in the first board exam, they can appear for the second.
• If any student wishes to improve their percentage or marks, they can also appear for the second board exam.
• In practical subjects, students will only be able to appear for the section they have already failed.
• To appear for the second board exam, students will have to apply with the prescribed fee and will not be allowed to change subjects.
• The results of the board exams will be published by order of the Chairman, and applications for retotaling will be available.
